Where can we begin?
Saturday was full of fun, powerful worship, challenging messages, unbelievable illusions and God-sightings (seeing places where God is at work around us).
We kicked off the morning with a devotional time and then went into our morning worship set. Afterward, our students participated in the biggest and most awesome mega relay race I've ever seen. This thing started at the resort and ended a mile down the beach. As 130 students ran the race, the people at the beach couldn't help but watch and enjoy the show. Students pushed tennis balls with their noses up and down the beach. They buried each other in the sand. They blew up beach balls and popped them. There were 10 legs to this race. Philip and Riley are truly doing a stellar job with rec this year. Our students and leaders are having a blast.
Yesterday afternoon, our students experienced track times. They went putt putting, played football, played ultimate frisbee, fished on the pier and played games on the beach. After track time, our group spent a couple hours at the beach together. It was so much fun seeing our students having such a great time together outdoors.
Dr. Reid challenged our students again last night with a powerful message from the Word. Josh Via led another outstanding worship set. Harris blew our students away with more illusions. Overall, it was a great day.
Thanks for praying for us. Your prayers are felt and God is at work among our students. We've seen some become believers and many others have been greatly convicted and challenged. I wish you could have been there last night as our students called out the names of their friends who are lost. They then came to altar to pray for those friends and for the boldness to share the Gospel with them.
This is an amazing camp!
